Delcu [Y3K]

DJ - Travels from São Paulo, BR

A central figure of Sao Paulo’s vibrant clubbing scene is Delcu - a DJ, producer and resident at Sao Paulo’s iconic queer party Buero and Y3K.

Quoted as being “kinda cute but kinda violent” by i-D Mag in 2022, the magazine would go on to write about the artist: ‘sexy bass music that will probably hit you in the face’. In terms of sonic force there’s no doubting that especially if sets for Boiler Room, HÖR with alys(alys)alys, the VOXNOX podcast, NTS mix and LYL Radio are anything to go by.

Delcu’s music ranges from glossy sensual electro to highly-acidic, slapping club tracks that are full of propulsive Latin rhythms, seismic bass, and gabber beats that merge into newfound genres like nightcore. In this the artist creates an unique and unforgettable experience, further blending various forms of trance with hardstyle, pitched techno and Brazilian funk vocals next to remixes of twinkly 2000s pop anthems, bootlegs and other hi-energy edits.

Alongside collaborations with Weird Baile’s JLZ , BADSISTA, and Brazilian vocalist LYZZA - that saw soundtracks created for major brands like Hugo Boss - she’s been seen sharing the decks with international artists like Jenson Interceptor and Skrillex, from Sao Paulo’s Club Shy - to lining up at RSO.BERLIN for Herrensauna and Boys Noize curations.

With her joyously chaotic and provocative sound making its way across the Americas and into Europe - Delcu shines as one of Brazil’s most tantalizing talents.
