Noirnor [Rinse FM]

DJ - Travels from Berlin, GER

Noirnor is a Ukraine native with African heritage living and playing in Berlin.

“My life has been divided into ‘before’ and ‘after’ forever,” says Noirnor, a transplanted DJ who moved to Berlin from the Ukraine since her country has been at war. “My sound has become more deep,” she says, “I think it’s more Berlin influenced”.

Now truly settled in the German capital, the city she now calls home, it’s not such an over-statement to say she’s taking the city by storm. A recognised fixture for line ups in clubs like Tresor, Watergate and OXI all round, her online presence has been made through sets on HÖR and Refuge Worldwide, alongside her monthly instalments for Rinse FM (UK).

Embracing her new city and the sound it craves, Noirnor’s time as a DJ dates back to her days as a resident for Vognyk Bar - a queer friendly club located next to a fortress compound in the Pechersk district of Kyiv. With her style erring towards house and breakbeats that sit deep next to electro, techno and its techier sub-genres - it’s Noirnor’s penchant for basslines that truly underpin her sound.

With her debut production “DLY” offering further insight into the artist’s deeper and meaningful message - taking in the subtleties of trance, emotion of acid and romance of classical music, Noirnor’s essence on the dancefloor is nothing short of touching and inspired.
