Bringing the far eastern experience to her DJ sets, Casper is a sound of the times.
Blending bass music with techno and implementing experimental, ambient and downtempo genres too, Casper’s sets have a unique way of careening into other styles while remaining resolutely focused, but not restricted to, just the club.
A trained classical pianist-composer and newcomer to Berlin, Casper’s nomadic trail has led her to live in cities like Tbilisi, Yerevan and Bucharesti; opening her up to sets a clubs like Left Bank, Office, MOCT and Control, to supporting the likes of Acid Arab and Helena Hauff along the way.
With the bold selections and deeper semantics of her sets revealing themselves as tribal rhythms, rugged breakbeats, UKG and more besides - it’s the brutal flexibility of Casper’s DJing that garners her sound such an originality.
Allowing space for acid, trance and electro oddities also, Casper’s style at large can be heard via her residency with Test FM, to spots on Rinse and HÖR - and a dispersion of obscure recordings online that appeal to her more exploratory and avant tastes.
Dedicated to her craft as a DJ and fearless in her pursuit of electronic music, Casper’s production values are next on the horizon, only adding to what she brings to the club, festival, rave and underground landscapes.
